چکیده

Copper (Cu) is one of the essential trace metals required for plant growth. High amount Cu in media inhibits growth and toxic to plants. Brassica nigra L., a accumulator, can tolerate high have specific mechanisms relocate within cell compartments keep away from cytoplasm. This study aimed evaluate Cu-induced gene expression pattern B. Diyarbakir ecotype subjected low treatment. The Arabidopsis ATH1 genome array was used determine leaves grown at 25 µM Cu. Ninety-five genes were upregulated, seventy-two downregulated plants under responsive genes, such as glutathione S-transferase, reductase, heavy metal transporters, natural resistance-associated macrophage proteins, cytochrome p450, MYB-like transcription factor, copper/zinc, Fe superoxide dismutases, some protein kinases highly expressed Cu-treated present work provides global facultative metallophyte nigra, which could serve molecular tool future phytoremediation studies.

Identification of cadmium-regulated genes by cDNA-AFLP in the heavy metal accumulator Brassica juncea L.

In this study, cDNA-amplified fragment length polymorphism (cDNA-AFLP) analysis was employed to identify genes that exhibited a modulated expression following cadmium (Cd) treatment in Brassica juncea grown in hydroponic culture. Plants were treated for 6 h, 24 h, and 6 weeks with 10 microM Cd(NO3)2 and untreated 6-week-old plants were used as controls. Cd content was measured at these four tim...

The invasive plant, Brassica nigra, degrades local mycorrhizas across a wide geographical landscape

Disruption of mycorrhizal fungi that form symbioses with local native plants is a strategy used by some invasive exotic plants for competing within their resident communities. Example invasive plants include Alliaria petiolata (garlic mustard) and Brassica nigra (black mustard), both non-mycorrhizal plants in the Family Brassicaceae. Although there is clear evidence for mycorrhizal degradation,...

Coordinate expression of transcriptionally regulated isocitrate lyase and malate synthase genes in Brassica napus L.

We have analyzed the temporal and spatial expression of genes encoding the glycoxylate cycle enzymes isocitrate lyase and malate synthase in Brassica napus L. to determine whether they are coordinately expressed. Both enzymes participate in reactions associated with lipid mobilization in oilseed plant seedlings and are sequestered in a specialized organelle, the glyoxysome. We have identified a...

Antiepileptic and Antioxidant Effect of Brassica nigra on Pentylenetetrazol-Induced Kindling in Mice

Considering the high rate of epilepsy today, with respect to the insufficiency of the available therapies, new strategies and methods are recommended for medical treatment of epileptic patients. Therefore, the present study experimentally investigated the anticonvulsant effect of a herbal medicine candidate brassica nigra, by using kindling method. Sixty male mice were randomly selected and div...

Plant genomes harbour many gene families reminiscent of previous duplication events. In this thesis, the molecular evolution of duplicated genes is analysed with special emphasis on flowering-time genes. In Bras...
